This Cutting Boards give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Assembly Tips
After a couple of ex-wives and my current bachelorhood, I have probably purchased and assembled a dozen of this type of rack for kitchen, office and storage. Probably takes me about 20 minutes to put together. Some tips on assembly.

1. First... Pick up two of the "slip clips" (the black plastic "doohickeys") and get an understanding of how they work. EACH half clip has a "thin" end and a "thick" end. Measure them if you have to assure yourself. YOU MUST put two halves together with the thin ends together and the thick ends together, giving you a "sleeve" with a thin end and a thick end. If you don't get this right, nothing works.

2. Now, once you understand how the clips go together... The thin end of the sleeve ALWAYS points UP. The reason for this is that the metal sleeves at each corner of each wire rack are TAPERED to slide down over the thin end of the sleeve and secure itself to the uprights. The more pressure (weight) on the shelves, the tighter the...

2. Love the extra storage space.
Have had this rack up for about a year now; it holds a good deal of extra pots and pans. I'm using the hooks to hold up the cast-iron pans without problem. The top rack works great for a spice-rack after we added a super-thin piece of wood to line the bottom (spices fell out before, no problems after).

The rack itself is very sturdy. My toddler tries to push and pull on it - it doesn't move. The dog has run into it a couple of times without it budging either.

I have not used the rubberwood cutting board top for cutting; I put another cutting board on it when I use the counter space. As such, it adds extra space/storage and still looks nice, even after a year. Absolutely love it and would recommend it.

Stable, quality rack
After reading positive reviews and the warnings about the instructions, I bought this kitchen rack and could NOT be happier. My only concern with it newly put together this evening is how much weight it will hold... I have bad luck of having furniture break on me. However, the wood block has an excellent feel to it, and the whole rack is right up against the wall and is perfectly stable. It feels solid, not flimsy at all. The instructions weren't all that bad, but it helped to read the "most helpful" review to learn some tricks. I've worked in industrial kitchens, and while compared to those racks this is definitely meant for home use, it is worth the money and more.

For $82 I'd buy this again!

(Edit: useful info for anyone tall: the height from floor to top of the butcher's block is 33 1/2" - only 2 1/2" shorter than my built-in counter. Works for 5' 6" me, but for anyone especially tall this might cause uncomfortable bending if using for food prep. If using...
