  • Synthetic handles are compression riveted to the full tang of the blade
  • Precision forged from a single piece of X50CrMoV15 German steel
  • Compound tapered blade is laser tested for sharpness and the correct cutting angle
  • Made in The Cutlery Capital of the World Solingen Germany

This Cutting Boards give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great package price for one of the best knives out there
The bread cutting board is great for baguettes and such and the knife is very sharp and at a great package price as well

2. Baguette killer
I bake bread a few times a week, and finally decided to upgrade to this bread knife. All I can say is WOW. It slices through crusty loaves effortlessly. The board is a good addition for presenting bread and charcuterie/antipasto. Never thought I would spend so much on a bread knife, and even after I saw this set on sale for cheaper in a store, I'm still glad I bought this.

Great combo deal
As others pointed out, for some reason it's less expensive to buy this combo than the knife by itself. We wanted a bread knife, but could not warrant paying the price to add to our JA Henckel Pro S collection. This knife looks almost identical to the Pro S knives, was sharp and appears very well made. It is not as heavy as a Henckel, but it is well balanced and will be everything we wanted for a rarely-used (in our house) bread knife. We didn't even card about the little cutting board that comes with it, but it will be handy for light use with french bread or cheese.
