1. The best I've found.
I like churning butter by hand. When the butter appears it's kind of like a miracle. I've been using "Lehman's Best" churn and this little honey is so far superior there is no comparison. The butter comes in a third the time and with a lot less effort. This is the one to get. You can get a pint and a half of cream into this one. The Lehman's churn holds a gallon but, really, who has a gallon of cream?

2. Makes tasty butter
I've made butter before in the (big name mixer) with a balloon whisk - which made a mess of the walls. That was good butter, btw.

In my goal to get off the grid, I've started to find hand tools to do the things I rely upon the power company to provide the power for me to do it.

1. Best bang for the buck
I have done my research and if you work in any food establishment or bakery and buy cream chargers in bulk then this is the best deal. The chargers are made in Taiwan so one step above made in China. The chargers do not leak so much when screwed into the canister. They claim each canister contains 5 grams or whatever more of gas but the canisters are the exact same size as the normal canisters so doesn't seem to be true. There's no reason to spend twice as much for another product when pretty much they all give the same results.

2. Awesome product, cant beat the price!
I've been buying these for some time now, I've compared them to just about every whipped cream charger on Amazon, the price per unit is unbeatable, and you get a stronger product, 8.5 grams of N2O verses 8 grams on with every other brand of charger I've looked at, and I'm pretty sure I've checked out all the NO cartridges that are on Amazon. Bought for the purpose of, well, making whipped cream! They did the trick. Works just as prescribed, er, described. I need to order more as my pies are in need of many, many more cool, refreshing blasts of these "Nitro Chargers."

Bought cause they were cheap. Gives whipped cream and alcohol extracts a nasty sulfury tasting aftertaste. Gross! I do not recommend at all.

I have had one of the consumer grade ISI whip cream makers for over 10 years and only recently did I decide that several of the parts were at the end of their usable life. As I love the simplicity and ease of ISI's creamers, I decided to see what their "latest and greatest" offering was. This Profi Whip is amazing...so much more ruggedly built and simpler to clean/maintain than my old one. I definitely cannot agree with any of the criticisms the other reviewers have made. This is a well designed, well manufactured kitchen accessory that will last you for years...possibly even decades with the new silicone sealing ring. If you like real whip cream and also are curious about flavoring it or making similar whipped desserts or side dishes, please give this a try. I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

2. Freakin Sweet!!!
This thing is AWESOME!!! I got mine for Christmas. I am utterly amazed at how well the whipped cream holds up. I'm so used to store bought whipped cream, that 'melt' after a few minutes.
I made chocolate mousse with this whipped cream maker last night, and it was heavenly. After 30 minutes, the mousse hadn't changed form at all (my eyes were bigger than my stomach, and I dished up more than I could eat). Perfectly whipped. Deliciously awesome.

Great product. Just remember to use it correctly and CLEAN it correctly after use. The little plunger in the top needs to be popped out after each 'emptying' of the canister and cleaned. Remember to do that and you'll have no problems.

iSI makes a number of whippers, for both the home and professional user. The GourmetWhip is the professional version, which means that it is all stainless steel, dishwasher safe and easily cleaned, which is not true of their EasyWhip home version cream whipper.

The 1 quart (1 liter) version is the largest one sold -- they also have half size (500 ml or 1 pints) and a quarter-size (250ml or one cup). The size is somewhat misleading, because you only fill the device half full -- the rest of the space is to hold the compressed gas.

1. Good design, bad fabrication
This whipped cream maker looks good, and works fine for infusing a liqueur, but it suffers from a couple of manufacturing defects.

The charger holder is made of a nice knurled steel tube with a small round plate welded in to the end with two tiny spot welds. Defect number one: the welds are bad. After a single use, one is barely holding on, and the other was never actually attached to begin with... it's just a lump of weld bead near one side of the plate, not actually attached to the tube.

It comes with three nozzles, two steel and one plastic. The plastic one is properly threaded. The steel ones have three small protrusions that are mean to mate with the threads. On one of the nozzles, this works ok. On the other, one of the protrusions is misplaced, and it won't actually thread on properly.

I'm in the unusual situation of having access to a metal shop. I can fix these defects myself, at which point I'll have a great gadget. If that was not...

2. Excellent Product!
I wanted to find a cream whipper that would stand the test of time and I feel that this is the right product. If you are in the market to buy a Whip-It! brand cream whipper only once in your lifetime, this is the right product for you. I am very happy with the whipper and the whipped cream it produces.

From my experience (we've had it for a few months now) I can say it works exactly as advertised. I would advise that you follow the instructions. The first time I tried to show it to company, I didn't shake it up before use so the cream came shooting out the spout like a squirt gun! Just make sure you shake it in accordance with the instructions and test it out on the side before you point it at your buddy's girlfriend's plate.

I've seen some reviews complaining that the seal does not hold. The seal on this product is very sturdy and I have had NO problem with the gas leaking out over time.

No complaints, the best buy I've made all year.

Very Simple Product. Very Well Built.
I have both a machine shop as well as a cafe, and I can vouch for this product being well made, for the most part.

The canister itself is not just stamped, but spun then all threads are machined. These are very expensive operations and I am impressed with that arrived for a reasonable price.

The charge cap is also made heavy duty, however, there is a pressure relief hole drilled at the end and the burrs were left inside. I know it is difficult to remove these burrs but not impossible. The hole is drilled in a corner and out of the way, but anything can happen which COULD puncture a charger accidentally. Perhaps this was just the one I got, but who knows?

The threads on the canister was nicely machined, but there are a couple threads that look like before or after the thread cutting operation were done, the tool came down and cut away some of the threads. Only 2 out of 4-5 threads are affected which might mean the machine operator was able to stop...

1. great whipped cream
This whipper is flawless. The bottle is stainless steel and the top is a machined stainless steel casting. Easy to use, easy to clean and makes totally natural whipped cream if you can find heavy cream with no additives. Most heavy cream has additives but some don't.

The directions are hard to understand because they weren't written by an english speaker so here are a couple tips. Do not modify the whipper, it looks like there is an extra piece on the seal, that's there for removing the seal easily for cleaning. The valve pulls straight out. Take both these things out for cleaning.

I use it for chocolate whipped cream. 1/4c cocoa and 1/4c sugar. Mix them in as little cream as possible until the sugar is dissolved then add to the whipper and fill as usual with heavy cream.

2. Works great
There is NOTHING better than making fresh Creme Chantilly. Heavy whipping cream, and 1 small teaspoon of real Vanilla (don't put more or the entire thing will be BITTER) and a bit of organic sugar. This unit is absolutely phenomenal. No whipping, no mess, just fill it up with Heavy Whip cream (I like the Organic as it DOES taste better AND it stays in your refrigerator for like 3 months !) Press the button and instant PHENOMENAL whipping cream. Throw away the crap from the grocery stores (the aluminum cans) - what a difference. The taste is sublime. This is a great unit - strongly recommend it . I sometimes use Splenda instead of Sugar - you can tell the difference but nearly 0 carbs.

1. I'm impressed
So far, I have used this for whipping cream, so I can’t speak to the use with hot items, but I’m definitely pleased so far. I’ve had a couple of quality whippers before, but this one beats them all, so to speak. The materials and construction are impressive. The resulting whipped cream texture is prettier and more consistent than I’ve ever seen.

The directions clearly state that you will hear a small amount of gas escaping as the unit charges initially. This is not a problem. The unit charges perfectly and produces a great product.

I have always put a little canola oil on a piece of paper towel and wiped both sides of the flexible seal to assure a good seal. This unit has a tab for aiding the removal of the seal, which is a nice feature.

One of the booklets that came with unit was in German and I used the Bing translator for English translation of one of the recipes. The recipe was good, but I don’t want to type in all of...

2. Excellent, solidly engineered product
I've gotten good mileage from my iSi Gourmet Whip, and the fact that I've only used it to whip cream once says a lot about the surprising versatility of this bit of equipment. Using the whipper for carbonation of fruit, assembly of foams and espuma, and in the assembly of souffle and sponge cakes has been easy, and the whipper is dishwasher safe.

Excellent product that is well worth the price.

Great for making flavored oils
I purchased this for use with making flavored oils. I use the nitrogen canisters to infuse the oils with herbs of my choosing. I hear it also doubles as a Whip Cream maker :)
