  • 15 lb commercial strength stainless steel vertical sausage stuffer
  • Stainless steel base frame with double ACME threaded stainless steel rod and hand crank
  • Removable cylinder is made from food grade 304 series-18ga stainless steel.
  • Lubricomp resin gears allow for effortless operation
  • The overall height is 19.5 inch

This Meat Grinders give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Should have bought this one first.
When I first started making sausage, I tentatively bought a cheaper 5-lb stuffer...and got cheaper performance. By the time I ditched it for the TSM, I just about had to hang off of the crank to get sausage out of it. Not so with the TSM. If you're a small batch, home sausage maker, this stuffer should serve you well and then some. The stainless frame is just about bomb proof and even the crank is cast stainless...not pressed bar stock like the cheaper models. The sturdy resin gears make it a smooth operator and and overall, it's pretty easy to clean. The piston head just about cleans the bottom of the cylinder, leaving a modest amount of meat in the outlet channel and stuffing tube, so waste is minimal. The included plastic stuffing tubes are serviceable but I highly recommend the stainless stuffing tubes, available separately.

2. Heavy duty but a bit crude in its construction
I'm very proud to support American manufactured products, but I am slightly disappointed in the craftsmanship of this product. It is obvious that it is created in large part by hand, but that is no excuse for not having clean lines and evenly thick metal parts. The crudeness of this product in no way affects its performance, but when I pay a 100% premium over its Chinese built competition, I want to see a bit more value. I wish the gears were a bit more smooth and made of metal since I find even with a lot of grease on the gears, the operation is a bit clunky. The unit is fairly easy to clean and overall I am THRILLED to have it. I could not imagine making sausage without it. Purchase the stainless steel stuffing tubes, they are much nicer than the plastic ones you get with the suffer. I feel that they should have been included from the beginning, but it's not the end of the world.

I'm confident this is the best made 5 lbs stuffer on the market and I really hope you...

This Meat Grinders give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Fantastic buy for the price
My old grinder just gave up after many years of good service, so I needed a new one to replace it, looked all over the internet and most are very pricey, then I went to Amazon.com and searched, found this one and ordered it.

Cannot believe the quality for the price I paid, I have now used it weekly for months and am extremely satisfied with this appliance, I buy roasts and make my own extra lean burger to use and it goes through the process with no trouble at all, I would reccomend this machine to anyone , plus, you get all the extras that come with it, Super! includes, several size sausage stuffing tubes, and 3 different grinding discs, coarse, medium and fine, great buy!

2. Cheap but good grinder
Bought it new, most of it was put together already I plugged it in and put veggie oil in it and turned it on to see how good it worked but noticed it was making a strange noise so I took the end off and noticed there were a few metal shavings in the veggie oil and I got to looking at it the company that made it put the blade on backwards and was causing it to rub, All I had to do was flip the blade over.

But all in all its a dang good grinder make sure you clean it up real good before you use it though it is very dirty from making them I cleaned mine with a white towel and it was black after I got done with it do to the dust/oil when they cut the metal.

This grider works great for me
I have been using an antique hand meat-grinder that belonged to my mother that is satisfactory, but wanted to get an electric grinder because I have two deer to process and I'm not getting any younger so I could do without all the arm fatigue. Also I want to make some venison sausage, so I wanted a sausage attachment. I was put off by some of the reviews, but I wanted something inexpensive and I don't grind the most of the deer, and don't grind anything else, so I decided to try this one. I set it up right away following the directions and lubricating it as directed. It worked great. It is NOT fast and doesn't grind any faster than my old hand grinder, but so what? I don't get an arm-ache doing it. It also grinds much better than the old hand grinder which tends to get bound up with any connective tissue I didn't get cut out. It did an excellent job, and I am very pleased with it. Clean-up was a cinch. Rinsing it under the kitchen faucet removed all the meat residue very...

LEM Products #10 Stainless Steel Clamp-on Hand Grinder

Cheap LEM Products #10 Stainless Steel Clamp-on Hand Grinder
==================================================================

LEM Products 821 #10 Stainless Steel Hand Grinder is a heavy-duty, all stainless steel construction, clamp-on style hand grinder. Highly polished stainless steel makes this unit easy to clean, rust resistant, and extremely durable. Comes with two stainless steel plates (Coarse 3/8" and Fine 3/16"), a stainless steel knife, 3 stuffing tubes (1/2", 3/4", 7/8"), and a stuffing star. Wide opening on clamp allows mounting on almost any countertop or table.
  • Heavy-duty, all stainless steel construction; Easy to clean and rust resistant
  • Wide opening on clamp allows mounting on almost any countertop or table
  • Two stainless steel plates: Coarse 3/8" and Fine 3/16"
  • Stainless steel knife
  • Set of three stuffing tubes: 1/2", 3/4", 7/8"

This Meat Grinders give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Disappointed
Buyer beware - this item does not have stainless steel blades or plates. The cutting knife had rust on it right out of the box and the plates are shipped in small baggies with plenty of oil covering them (stainless steel does not require packaging in oil). The appearance of the grinder itself is quite nice, much nicer than the typical cast-iron models that you normally see, but that's about where my positive experience stopped.

Second major issue with this item: I have a 1.5" thick counter top, and the clamp would not open wide enough to mount. If you remove the rubber feet (which, in my case were white slip-on feet unlike the black shown in the picture) and the cylindrical plastic piece that covers the bottom of the clamp, you might be able to mount it. I would say that this item would mount nicely to a counter with a thickness of 1.25". If you don't care about your counter finish, you can mount it on 1.5" but you will need to remove all of the rubber / plastic from...

2. Works great!
Put my husband right to work making sausage! He had a great time experimenting. No complaints with product; but, he discovered that if you are going to grind chicken, use the larger holed plate. Chicken was mush with the smaller holes!

Just like the old ones
I read the reviews of other grinders and decided that his one was the most sturdy-no plastic parts or electric gizmos to fail.

It was easy to use and turned the roast into ground beef in record time and at a nice saving. Next time, I will make the coarser grind, but there will be lots of next times.

I got so tired of paying steak prices for decent ground beef, and those tubes of ground something scare me. Who knows where they came from.

I figured my price for lean ground beef at about $3.69 per pound. Knowing when and where it was ground, gives me the confidence to serve it medium rare if I wish.

This grinder is never going to break.

This Meat Grinders give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great Grinder
Very pleased with this grinder. Have had it now for a few months and essentially had bought it to make cat food. It grinds up chicken thigh bones without a problem and that was one of my main concerns that it be powerful enough to do so. We have also started to use it to "make" our own hamburger which once you start doing that you will never go back to store bought. The rate at which it grinds up food is fast. I found I had to have all my meat ready to feed because it ground just that quickly. The machine itself is sort of heavy, but I generally do not have problems lifting it. It cleans up nicely, I do use my bottle brush for some of the pieces to make sure and get to those hard to reach places. I would certainly recommend this machine to others!

2. Now THIS is a meat grinder!
First off, I love the circuit breaker, which shuts off the power to the grinder if meat gets trapped in the auger. If the KitchenAid stand mixer I had been using to grind meat was equipped similarly...I wouldn't have burned out the motor. Alas, the KA is not well designed and it is now a piece of junk in the basement. When it came time to choosing a new appliance to grind meat, I decided to buy a dedicated machine, not something made to do a million and one different kitchen jobs. There's something to be said about heft, and this LEM grinder has weight to it...which is a good thing. It is powerful and grinds up meat the way I want a meat grinder to work...fuss-free and no-nonsense. In comparison, the KA grinder attachment would whine shrilly and grinding meat was slow and laborious. All in all, I think that this grinder was a worthwhile purchase and it's looking like I'll be quite happy with it. Time to make some kielbasa!

LEM .35 HP Grinder
This works fine so far and seems to be a quality unit. Be sure to read the short instruction sheet as you have to coarse grind first before you can fine grind. If you skip that step you will be sorry. Also you will need to buy a plate larger than 3/8. You cannot drop the meat in one step unless you use a coarse grind plate first which I do now BTW. I suggest that you buy a larger plate as 3/8 will not give you a real coarse grind.

Update: the coarse grind was great and equal to fine grind at the supermarket. Also bigger is better and would buy the .75 or 1 if I had to do it over again. The throat is bigger in the bigger models which means less cutting. Go large folks.

No where does it say made in USA only a made in China on the box.

Cheap LEM Products .75 HP Stainless Steel Electric Meat Grinder

LEM Products W780 #12 Stainless Steel .75 HP Electric Meat Grinder is a tremendous buy! It is priced like grinders with less horse power, but offers a strong step up from the .35 HP grinder unit. This Meat Grinders give to us some advantages, like this :
1. You can do this too!
So after all the questioning and doubt about whether or not our family can justify spending this kind of money for a grinder. One word comes to mind. JUSTIFIED! Our oldest son and daughter (14 and 12) each got their first deer this year. I got 4, one friend got 1, another 2. Let me just say the time we spent together grinding meat and stuffing different sausages made it worth the price almost by itself. I first made 10 lbs. of Italian sausage which turned out good. Then I made 5 lbs. of breakfast sausage. Then last week we made over 70 lbs. of Jagdwurst (hunters sausage). Yesterday we made jerky and snack sticks. The light has been turned on to the possibilities. We just followed the directions, made slight adjustments and we have made great products. This machine worked flawlessly grinding. It did however shut off after all the grinding and almost all the stuffing was finished. I attribute that to our learning the art of stuffing. We just over heated the motor so it shut...

2. Far exceeds my expectations
This is a beast of a grinder! It has so much power that it doesn't even finish stretching when I run 20 lbs of pork butt or 15 lbs of beef chuck through it, let alone get a workout. The entire unit is beautiful, strong, and sanitary stainless steel. It feels overbuilt in every way. I can't imagine anything breaking on it.

It is a heavy unit, but not so heavy that it can not be moved. Bear in mind, however that I am a 200 lbs 28 year old guy.

I purchased several extra grinding plates and stainless steel knives and they are all of the highest quality - in line with the quality of the grinder. I also purchased the LEM meat lug with lid and it is also great, just a bit too tall to fit under the grinding plate.

The Big Bite technology is great. It sucks down the meat so fast that there is little to no need to pre-freeze your meat or use the tamper.

I only have one issue with the grinder: It's made in China. That said, I can not imagine...

Can't live without it!
I burned up two other meat grinders before this one. It grinds poultry bones and meat without problem. I go through 200 pounds of meat and bone in 30 minutes without worrying about temperature of the meat. I make my own ground cat and dog food monthly in 150-200 pound batches.

This Meat Grinders give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Very pleased with this fine quality meat grinder
My wife and I have purchased electronic Panasonic products with satisfaction for more than 30 years, so we decided to give this meat grinder a try. Extremely satisfied, with first use to make ham salad (something not available commercially here, alas, any more, after the demise of Honey B on Texas Ave a couple of years ago). (Anyone reading this remenber the ham salad sandwiches at Reeves on F, then G, street in DC? Well I do, and have tried to duplicate them with this machine.) My! In any event, this is a solid, well-built, quiet (like a blender or food-processor) machine, that, properly assembled (cutter blade toward front, not back!!), will produce a great grind. For our ham salad we used the medium cutter disk, though if you want a coaser grind you can use the coarse disk. Perfection. Does not grind onions well (mush), however. Carbon steel parts (blade, disks, parts of the impeller)are NOT stainless and will require proper storage (use food-grade mineral oil available at...

2. Panasonic Meat Grinder
The item works well. It's too small for larger volumes of material such as 20# as fatigue sets in on the operator. Excellent for making 10 to 15 lb. batches of sausage.

Grinder
I read many reviews on grinders prior to purchasing this one. The cost of paying for processing a deer is getting exspensive. For summer sausage alone I paid over $80.00 this grinder worked well and was quiet. It was easy to operate and easy to clean. The sausage stuffer attachment works well. It is made in Japan, the quality is better than other choices. I am sure that the more exspensive commercial grinders do a better job. For me who using it for a few deer a year and maybe making my own ground sirloin it is great.

Clamp the stuffer to a table or counter top and crank out perfect sausage every time. Comes with 3 stuffing tubes: 1/2", 3/4", and 1". Cylinder removes for easy filling and cleaning. • Cylinder designed to be removed for filling and cleaning
  • Plastic piston has handy air-release valve
  • Three stuffing tubes: 1/2", 3/4" and 1"; Each with a 1 9/16" base

This Meat Grinders give to us some advantages, like this :
1. LEM 5 lb. vert. stuffer - Definitely the best bang for your buck
"Great product" really says it all. Hands down the best value out there when comparing apples to apples.
What I like: A couple of features I would consider to be mandatory for a stuffer in this category: all stainless steel construction and all metal gears (the latter being an absolute must if you're processing lots of meat). Looks and feels like quality - it's built like a tank. The piston and o-ring assembly fit very tight in the cylinder so you don't have meat squishing back up above the piston. It DOES have a pressure relief valve on top of the piston, a feature NOT listed in the product description on the site where I purchased mine (another mandatory feature). It's fast and smooth, taking only about 2 minutes to stuff 5 lbs. of bratwurst into a 35mm hog casing.
What I dislike: Nothing really but to be really nitpicky it could've come with stainless steel stuffing tubes.
What I would change: Nothing. Like I said above - hands down the best bang for your...

2. Very Good Product
This sausage stuffer is perfect for home use. Sturdy construction with all metal gears, it will last a lifetime. Easy to use and very easy clean up. The Amazon price is amazing given that this is all stainless steel and very well built. Best value for money that I have seen in a long time.

Couldn't of asked for a better first
After trying to stuff with my meat grinder which essential disintegrates the meat as it goes back through the worm again I purchased this and could not be happier. I questioned one of LEM's customer service reps before placing my order and she was very helpful.

It's excellent for those small batches and even when you are doing more weight it's a quick refill or hot and sweet sopressata the can is easily cleaned and ready to go for the next batch.

I agreed with another post I think S/S tubes would have been nice or maybe even longer ones. I find it difficult to fit the hog hank lengths I get from the butcher and have to cut them down but that's really digging for a negative.

The only thing I would recommend as an additional purchase to this product is a food grade lubricant. I noticed after a few washes the silicone gasket that presses through the tube gets a bit dry and this is one spot that was lubricated out of the box so I keep up with it...

This Meat Grinders give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Would deserve SIX stars
For me and for my wife, cooking is a kind of a hobby. Before buying a meat grinder, we analyzed several models. The first conclusion: the most important feature of a meat grinder is the engine power. This STX has a powerful 1,800 watts engine, more than enough to do all of the duties of a home kitchen (and maybe even of a small restaurant). Other meat grinders with smaller engines, such as 500W or 800W, will not fit for heavy duty (10 or more pounds at once), nor will be able to deal with some kinds of meat.
After some research, we ordered it from Amazon. The delivery time was as promised. The machine was very well packed in a so protective box.
Our first test of the product revealed that we made the right choice. Some points to highlight:
1. Most parts are polished aluminum. So easy for cleaning, very nice appearance;
2. The finishing is careful at every detail. It is clearly a good quality product;
3. It works wonderfully. The powerful engine is far more...

2. Let's make sense of this thread.....
11/15/10: In order to clarify some of the comments in this thread I am updating my original review. There was a different model substituted on Amazon.com for the STX TURBO 1800 watt for a very brief period over the summer. During that time all of the reviews for the 1800 watt model showed up on the 2000 watt model and that led to a little bit of confusion. I made it worse by trying to clarify that I did not buy the 2000 watt one. I have now eliminated all comments in this thread that I made in regards to that small fiasco.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I recently decided to start making homemade cat food and spent quite a while researching grinders that would be up to the task of handling chicken bones on a routine basis. Most of the information available online from folks who are making their own cat food says that they are either using Tasin or Northern Tool grinders. The Vet whose Web site had the recipe that I am using referenced the Northern Tool grinder having been identical...

Better Than Expected
I had been using the meat grinder attachment on my KitchenAid mixer for years. I THOUGHT it was performing well for a home kitchen device. Sure, it took a long time, but isn't that to be expected? Then it started overheating and it was time to replace it.

I decided it was time to get a dedicated meat grinder since that was my favorite feature of the KitchenAid. I was looking for possibly an incremental upgrade (or at least no worse). Was I surprised....

This thing takes about 1/10 the time to grind meat and it doesn't turn the meat and fat to paste. The blades are heavy and sharp. The feeding tube is wide enough that you don't have to do a lot of preparation just to get the meat in the grinder. It grinds so fast that the feeding tray is useless--I just could not put the meat in fast enough.
