1. Just bought this spice rack...
I bought this spice rack based on how cool I thought it looked in the pictures. Here are the spices that it came with:

Sea Salt

Italian Seasoning
Seasoning Salt

I didn't know what spices I would be getting but I was pleasantly surprised with some of them (sea salt and mint!) and not so much with the others (rosemary, basil, oregano, etc). The labels on the jars are stickers so if you wanted to remove them you could, but they look like they would probably leave some of the sticky stuff behind. I didn't see a registration code to get registered for 5 years of free spices so I sent an email to the manufacturer to get a code. I will update this review when or if they respond.

Overall, I think its a great piece and I like the fact that it spins...

1. Cute and well made, but impractical and flawed.
24 MAGNETIC JARS:
I bought these 24 jars with the metal wall plate, for hanging the jars somewhere other than the fridge. The glass body and metal lid of each jar is very solid, and the magnets are strong. They confidently hold onto the fridge or the mounting plate on a wall without even the hint of slipping. One thing I noticed right away was that the magnets are not glued (or affixed in any way other than magnetically) to the inside surface of the jar lids. This makes no difference in the magnet's strength or functionality but it does make the jars seem just a little "cheaper". One big downside of the jars is their size. I could not even get the contents of a 1 ounce store-bought spice bottle into a single jar. I purchased the magnetic set to free up cabinet space that I'd no longer need for spice bottles/jars. I didn't throw a single original spice bottle or jar away when I transferred to the magnetic ones. Also, when I arrange them in a honeycomb array, as...

2. Nice idea, but...
Fed up with the jumble in my kitchen cabinets, I looked on Amazon for spice racks. This seemed like a really cool and appealing option. But having used them for three weeks or so, I still have mixed feelings. I'm not disappointed enough to send them back, but I definitely wish I had bought something better suited to my needs.

The positive side is that they are indeed pretty cool. I have put them all on the side of my fridge, and people think they look neat. The uniformity and appealing shape of the jars plus the variety of spice colors make for a nice visual.

There are, however, a number of downsides.

The first is that these are tiny. When I read "1.5 oz jars", I looked at my spices and saw that none were more than 1.5 ounces. Great! Except that the jars are 1.5 fluid ounces, which is 3 tablespoons. I could fit circa a third of a normal jar of spices into these, so my kitchen cabinet still has a bunch of jars in it.

Great Product
This little set of jars makes me wonder why I've been hiding my spices in the cabinet all these years. They arrived quickly and were packaged very well. The more jars I started filling and placing the more I liked these little beauties. The lids seem to be holding up just fine for me. They don't see extensive use however. I find myself enjoying the look of these every time I walk by.

1. Buy Two Sets
Save yourself frustration - count your spices before you order this fine set of bottles. I should have ordered two sets right away - I am now sending for a second set. Most of us cooks have more than 16 spices we use regularly, but that didn't occur to me when I bought my first set. The package of 96 labels for $1.95 from Wire Whisk goes nicely with these bottles. Again, 96 labels for only 16 bottles didn't get my attention initially, but you can avoid this problem by purchasing at least two sets of these bottles at the same time. Note: although these bottles come with both large and small hole shaker tops, the small size McCormick spices you get at the store have a shaker top which includes a flap that allows dumping spice quickly. The McCormick shaker tops perfectly fit these bottles, which is a nice plus.

2. They're Fine
What's there to say about them? The caps fit snugly, the glass isn't too thin, the shakers don't seem to fall off easily. This product is exactly as advertised.

Spice Jars
Simply a great product. Nice jars. They come with lids and sifter tops - with holes in 2 sizes - 1/2 course and 1/2 fine. No labels so you make your own. Most of the spices I buy in the jar fit 6 to a row on my spice rack, these fit 7. I have many spices, so this makes me happy.

1. Really neat solution for storage
My boyfriend gave me this as a gift for Christmas. I love it! It's a really cool way to store spices. The only thing is...it did arrive broken in the box and my boyfriend was quite upset that the racks were chrome coated plastic and not metal. But all in all I really like the look and the practicality of it.

2. It you buy this item, cross your fingers
I ordered this spice rack and one of the arms was broken when I recieved it. I returned it to Amazon and they shipped me another one right away. It was broken in the exact same way. The other reviews say the same thing. If you order this, cross your fingers that it doesn't come broken.

Damaged twice in shipping
Found this item in a store for 79.99, decided to check Amazon for a better price at 59.99 and free shipping. Order was shipped and received in 2 days, middle spindle was broken, since it was plastic, it was not fixable. Sent it back and asked for replacement. Very easy return policy and procedures. Received the second shipment in 2 days (very quick), 1 of the spice holders was broken in 2, again plastic and not fixable. Sent it back, this was just not meant to be. Ask for the refund this time.
