2. meat cuber/tenderizer
This is a heavy duty piece of equipment that does everything that it says it will do and more. It will turn the toughest meat into tender cube steaks with ease and will continue to do so for years. Only plastic on it is the teflon bearings on the ends of the blade rollers and the nylon base that you clamp to a counter or table top. Everything else is metal. After you are done using it, it takes apart easily for cleaning and air drying. The first time I used it I had 10 pounds of eye of round beef that was cut into 3/4 inch thick steaks. I ran them through the cuber 1 time then turned them 90 degrees and back through again. You talk about good chicken fried cube steaks that melt into your mouth!!! Actual process time for the meat was about 15 minutes counting time to trim the fat off and run it through the cuber twice. Disassembly and clean-up of the cuber only took about 5 minutes. Remember this was the first time I had used it. Great machine!!!!

This is a handy piece of equipment. It works well and is easy to clean. My only complaint is that two of the screw inserts were stripped, but that's an easy fix.

Before I ordered a cutting board, I went online to find out the best cutting board for your knives is a plantation teak end grain board. DO NOT BUY GLASS OR PLASTIC! I found this on Amazon and I am very pleased. I received the board quickly but it had a crack on the side and so I returned this one and Amazon sent me a new board within two days and the second board was in excellent condition. Absolutely beautiful and gentle on my knives. I make sure I keep it oiled. Great price! Highly recommend.

1. Should have bought this one first.
When I first started making sausage, I tentatively bought a cheaper 5-lb stuffer...and got cheaper performance. By the time I ditched it for the TSM, I just about had to hang off of the crank to get sausage out of it. Not so with the TSM. If you're a small batch, home sausage maker, this stuffer should serve you well and then some. The stainless frame is just about bomb proof and even the crank is cast stainless...not pressed bar stock like the cheaper models. The sturdy resin gears make it a smooth operator and and overall, it's pretty easy to clean. The piston head just about cleans the bottom of the cylinder, leaving a modest amount of meat in the outlet channel and stuffing tube, so waste is minimal. The included plastic stuffing tubes are serviceable but I highly recommend the stainless stuffing tubes, available separately.

2. Heavy duty but a bit crude in its construction
I'm very proud to support American manufactured products, but I am slightly disappointed in the craftsmanship of this product. It is obvious that it is created in large part by hand, but that is no excuse for not having clean lines and evenly thick metal parts. The crudeness of this product in no way affects its performance, but when I pay a 100% premium over its Chinese built competition, I want to see a bit more value. I wish the gears were a bit more smooth and made of metal since I find even with a lot of grease on the gears, the operation is a bit clunky. The unit is fairly easy to clean and overall I am THRILLED to have it. I could not imagine making sausage without it. Purchase the stainless steel stuffing tubes, they are much nicer than the plastic ones you get with the suffer. I feel that they should have been included from the beginning, but it's not the end of the world.

I'm confident this is the best made 5 lbs stuffer on the market and I really hope you...

Best Torch for Dabbing, Easy one handed use
This torch is far superior in quality to all the other mid 20-30 dollar torch's on amazon. Don't assume all torch's are the same, they arent. Poor quality torch's sometimes require multiple attempts to light, its infuriating, and the problem only gets worse over time. This one does not suffer from those problems, the safety is easy to operate and it stays locked down until the torch is lit, this means you can actually light it with one hand! it is also very easy to operate the lock on/off switch with one hand as well! The tank on this torch is slightly smaller than the standard issue bed bath and beyond torch, which is almost identical the the vector torch. However, the smaller tank is worth the trade off, and the size difference is not significant. Whether you're going to DAB CITY or actually using this in the Kitchen this torch will treat you well.

1. Review After 21 months of use, Problem with Freeze Control
The MOST IMPORTANT POINT.....most people post a 5 star review after they receive a product, install it and it works. They are happy and they give a product 5 stars for working after they take it out of the box. This review is after 21 months of careful testing.

I have pages of handwritten and collected data on the problem with this freeze protection probe. But I will try to be concise here.

The Timer itself generates warmth when in the metal weather proof box. This causes the temperature to rise inside the weatherproof box and causes the freeze protection copper tube that runs through the box to cut off the pump, thinking it is now warmer than freezing, even if the outside air temperature is still below freezing. Now, once the timer is off, the box cools down and then in 20 minutes or so, the Freeze Protection will cut the pump back on and it will run until the temperature in the box rises again and it cuts off the Freeze Protection switch.

2. Great Product BUT be aware!
This is a really great product. I decided that instead of installing myself I would hire an electrician.
BE AWARE the thermostat has a copper tube sensor that looks EXACTLY like a standard ground wire. My electrician thought it was a ground wire and cut it short and wired it accordingly!
Once that copper tube is cut the timer is shot and I have to order the replacement thermostat for an additional $45.
Make sure you don't make the same mistake.
