1. More Coffeeness In My Cup
Years ago I bought a cheap, $20, hand-cranked coffee grinder because I heard freshly ground coffee was the best, and those electric whizzing blade grinders (choppers really) heated the beans and left you with a non-uniform grind that made for inconsistent results.

The mechanism of that ridiculous and flimsy contraption would always unscrew as I used it, causing a loss of the grind setting, and sometimes the handle would fall off. Moreover, it took gorilla arms to operate as it often got stuck, as if a rock was mixed in the beans. I soldiered on for a few months but eventually I threw it out and went back to the grocery store grinder.

A year ago I tried that cheap Black and Decker burr grinder (again $20, at Target) but it was noisy (like a DustBuster) and produced inconsistent results (a mixture of powder and chunks) for my drip coffee maker.

Then I saw this Peugeot while traveling but I couldn't carry it with me so I bought it here cause I couldn't...

2. Having a few problems
I was very excited about this coffee mill when I bought it, but over time, I've encountered a few disappointments. First, I noticed that every day, a couple of beans get themselves wedged behind the support frame. A minor nuisance. Second, the mechanism you use to adjust the size of the grind 'locked' itself into the super fine grind position. This now happens quite regularly. I have to get a wrench to unscrew it, as it is too tight to turn with my fingers. Lastly, I've noted lately that the color is bleeding onto the countertop. I have the black version of this mill, and whenever it encounters water on the counter, it bleeds. I would also agree with another reviewer that the size and shape of the drawer is awkward when dumping the grounds into a round French press. Having said all of that, it makes fabulous coffee!

Great grind and good-looking
I bought the Bresil to replace an inexpensive burr grinder. The Bresil produces a far more uniform grind and it can grind more finely, all while freeing up an outlet. The Bresil is also quieter and because it is 'wireless' I can grind anywhere I please. Because it is attractive I can also keep it where I please. The weakness in this grinder, at least for me, is the size and shape of the drawer that receives the ground coffee. It holds only enough for a couple double shots and its low box shape means I need to dump the coffee into another container. This can be done more neatly with the Bresil than with my old electric burr grinder, though, because the grind is not statically charged.

1. My first grinder
Was going to spend about 35-40 on good quality grinder, but I heard that the teeth can break on most headshop or generic brand grinders. So I figured if I buy a cheap grinder now, I will end up buying a Space Case if it ever breaks. Well I though 2 steps ahead and went with the best. Now I shouldn't have to worry about buying a second grinder. Very shiny and sharp edges, nice screen bin, and sharp teeth leave your herbs grinded up very evenly. If you have the money and only want to buy one grinder, go all out and get at least the 2.5 (medium). A grinder is even more useful if your are a vapist,bluntist, or if you engage in joint ops.

2. Only Space Case
For anyone serious, you buy a Space Case...no other grinder out there can match the quality...there are tons of imitators but only the originator has prevailed on quality and construction. Yeah, the price sucks but considering they don't break down over time like those other crappy grinders, worth the money.

I'm not sure why another reviewer said that this does not have a magnet... I was a little apprehensive to buy this because of that review, but ended up buying it anyway. I'm glad I did, because mine DOES have a magnet. It's perfect!

Absolutely love space cases! i have 1 of every size. This one is quite big. It is very nice for grinding up 4-8 grams at a time. Made very well turns very smoothly. Great house grinder!

2. Real quality,but pricey.
Grinder is huge but not to big.Great product teeth are razor sharp and there placed like no other grinder I've seen before.When you look into it you know that it just destroys anything you put through it.

I'd recommend this grinder to anyone if you want the best this is it.

Space case is the best but not a fan of the new color
If you're here, you know Space Case grinders are the best quality on the market. Precision milling, long lasting sharpness and durability. The quality is unmatched.

The only thing is, the old deep magenta color was so much more attractive than the new black finish. No other grinders were that color using high quality materials. Still a 5 star product though.

1. Just What I Needed
I have started purchasing wheat berries to grind my own flour. I needed a mill that was reasonably priced, but I wanted it to be able to operate in the event of a power outage. I decided on this model because there is an optional part coming out to make this electric powered as well.

The unit is very sturdy and grinds the berries very well. It takes a little work to crank enough flour, but my whole family comes running every time I start using this thing. Everyone wants a turn grinding berries and the kids are so fascinated that is how flour is made. I would estimate about 2 minutes per cup of flour, depending on how fast you can crank it.

I leave this mounted on my counter full time since I use flour everyday, but it is pretty compact and easy to store. After using this unit manually, I really don't know why people opt to grind their own flour, but then buy an electric mill. Using this grinder will have you going a step further than "made from scratch" and...

2. All in all Awesome
So far I've tried wheat and Corn through this mill and it works awesome, also easy to take apart and clean. The reason for 4 instead of 5 Stars is the Clamping mechanism could be alittle wider for more gripping area. That being said so far I am verry happy with this product.

LOVE THIS - Got fluffy flour while baby was napping.
I have been using a Rocket blender to grind flour. We bought a big bag of wheat berries and I thought it would be easy to grind. HA! It was so loud, I had to wear ear plugs and have my husband take the baby outside.

Enter - Victorio VKP1024 Deluxe Hand Operated Grain Mill - I had just put the (teething) baby down for a much needed nap. The doorbell rings... After silently cursing the poor timing of our UPS driver, I got super excited to see what the package was. I just ordered it yesterday! I opened it up, followed the directions for cleaning it and attaching to the counter and got my 1 cup of wheat berries ready. I hesitated.... what if it was loud and woke her up? I set the knob for fine flour and threw caution to the wind, I turned the crank. and... I got a little puff of flour and it was SOOOO quiet. I timed it, including time switching hands because my arms got tired, it took 4 minutes to grind a 1 cup measure of wheat berries. That 1 cup yielded 1 3/4...

1. THE grinder to have
I bought two of these, one small and one medium. Both are excellent but the small is definitely great for someone who wants a very portable grinder. The magnetic top is a welcome feature and the overall build quality is superb. This is not an airtight container, but is adequate for short term storage once ground.

For MMJ, this grinder in conjunction with a Volcano Digit is the best way I've found to deliver consistent, predictable results. The small size is more than enough to feed the Volcano, and the pollen (trichome) catcher is great.

2. Great Grinder for Enthusiasts
It had gotten to the point where my old 4 stage was just not doing the job anymore. I also just purchased a Magic Flight Launch Box vaporizer, so I needed a nice grinder to achieve the perfect consistency of herb. This space case is the nicest grinder I've ever had without a doubt. The small size is just what I needed. The amount of "pollen" this grinder collects is absolutely absurd! The Space Case is no joke and without any doubt worth every penny spent on it.

My second space case, perhaps my last
The first thing that struck me was how much lighter it was than my small 2 piece steel case (which is made out of regular metals), even though it's a physically larger piece with it's two extra compartments. The grind looks very good, and it doesn't look like this grinder will be capable of falling apart or breaking ever!

1. The BEST Out There!
If you need a good herb grinder then stop looking, because you have found it.

The price for the Space Case is kind of expensive but once I used it I knew why. This thing will chop through your herbs like butter. It only takes a few turns and done, fine chopped product. Also the sifter and collection disk work better than any other grinder I have used. The screen does not move or wobble a bit, and it collects pollen or other fine herb chop better more efficiently than grinders I have owned in the past. And to top it off, the thing is indestructible especially the titanium one.

If you want to save a couple of dollars you can get other space case grinders that aren't titanium or they don't have a magnetic top, but i'd go with space case for sure even though the price is steep.

2. Best grinder on the market, but still needs improvement
Let me start by saying this is the best grinder on the market in terms of grinding performance and pollen collection. I am an afficionado and I have never seen anything even come close to the design and functionality of the space case grinders. If you want the best, look no further. This is it.

HOWEVER, every single space case I've owned has eventually worn out because of the pollen screen seperating from the ring that holds it in place. Regardless of how gentle you are with it, the screen will come out over time. As a mechanical engineer I am saddened that they haven't come up with a better design, or at the very least made a replacement screen/middle section available for purchase so I don't have to buy a new one every few years. But alas, this is an expensive "hobby".

The last grinder you'll ever buy
This is the best grinder I've ever owned. The depth between the grinder and screen is great, the smooth rotation and ease of labor are fantastic. Sleek, black color. Strong magnet to hold the top of the grinder on. Lots of threads means lots of rotations to open the chamber and pollen catcher... no accidental openings in your bookbag or purse means no waste. Absolutely worth the money... though I almost wish I had bought the large instead, just so I could have room to brush the screen out more effectively when it gets clogged.

Ordered on a weekend, shipped out Monday, arrived Wednesday standard shipping. Fantastico! I would order another one in a heartbeat... but I may never need to!
